Meadow

We recently received two very cute small dogs from our network of partners that rescue dogs from shelters with high kill rates or are overcrowded.

Meet Rico and Meadow! Rico is a charming neutered male Chihuahua mix who is about three years old. He sports a handsome tan and white coat and has a nice energy level. When you stop by his cage to say “hi” he wiggles, wiggles, and whines to get your attention. It’s easy to see that he is very much a people dog.

Meadow is only about a year old, and is a tan and white terrier mix. She’s one of those terriers that is so scruffy she is cute. When she arrived at our shelter, she was quite dirty and it was easy to see she hadn’t been taken care of. We are giving her baths, and she is looking much better. She probably won’t shed at all or will shed very little. Meadow has a puppy look about her, and is delighted when people come to see her. Another little people pleaser!

If you have been wanting a nice-sized loving canine companion, now is your chance! These two sweet little dogs have had a rough lives before coming to our shelter, and if you would come and adopt them into your hearts and homes, their lives could turn around. They are so sweet that they deserve a chance…

Big raffle event just around the corner

Our big annual raffle event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28. This is the event where the winners of our raffle will be drawn and prizes awarded. We will be having an open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the raffle drawing event happening at 1pm at the shelter annex building adjacent to the shelter.

Both the shelter building and the annex building will be decorated in a Halloween theme, and snacking food will be provided.

Our creative volunteer Taylor will be having activities, such as face painting, for the kids at the annex from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This is a very fun annual event, and exciting for those who have purchased raffle tickets throughout the year. So come on down and bring the family. The grand prize is $2,000!
