OCEAN PARK — Audrey Davis, a local woman who disappeared late last week, has been found deceased.
A woman discovered Davis, 87, in her car, not far from her Ocean Park home on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office responded.
Friends grew concerned on Oct. 26, when Davis left her home without telling anyone, and did not return — a significant departure from her usual routine. Between Friday and Wednesday, they spent many hours making calls and searching local roads in hopes of finding her. The sheriff’s office issued an advisory to law enforcement agencies all over Oregon and Washington, and her out-of-town family members were reportedly preparing to come to the Peninsula to help with the search.
On Wednesday afternoon, sheriff’s office staff were not available for comment. Davis’s loyal friends were devastated by the news.
“Needless to say, there are a lot of very sad people here today,” one friend said in an email.
This is an emerging story. The Chinook Observer will update if and when more details become available.
