Friends of the Columbia River Gateway honored for lighthouse efforts

ILWACO — The Keepers Of The North Head Lighthouse, a sub-group of the federally recognized nonprofit 501(c)3 Friends of the Columbia River Gateway, recognized for their leadership efforts to restore North Head Lighthouse, installed a bronze plaque in the lighthouse below the brass rail surrounding the stairway at the top of the lantern room. The Keepers Of The North Head Lighthouse board members, Jim Sherman, Marie Powell, Randy Powell and Lona Niemi, left to right, are shown with the plaque just installed.
