As director of Peninsula Players latest musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” I want to thank all the local businesses who put ads in our program as well displaying information about our production on their reader boards. Thank you to Coast Weekend for the article and pictures in your magazine. It was a delight to see our production on the front cover! It is wonderful to have such a wonderful, supportive community. Thank you also goes to all my cast and crew for making this another delightful and fun time for me. Thank you to everyone who attended our production during it’s three week run….your laughter and enthusiasm delighted the cast! Congratulations to Luci Dreyer, Susan Clark and Christl Starheim, winners of our raffle baskets. The proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will go toward updating our electrical system at the Playhouse.

DoGoodnics, a Peninsula nonprofit agency, extends a huge thank you to Dave Erickson and his helpful Chautauqua Lodge staff for providing the venue for our town hall meeting on April 14. Eighty peninsula and area citizens heard nine speakers express views on important topics like education, law enforcement, budget restraints, immigration, social justice, infrastructure issues and more. We thank our guest speakers: Kathryn Murdock, Frank Wolfe, Scott Johnson, Brian Blake, Jerry Phillips, Kim Patten, Tony Johnson, David McDevitt, and via videotape, former Congressman Brian Baird. A big thank you to INCOWA team members who helped produce the event. Special kudos to Jill, Michele, Carole and Karen for providing supporting documents, props, and a six-foot plywood likeness of Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler. And thanks to Fred Carter for providing pre-program music for the gathering. It was our first effort to assemble concerned citizens in a town hall format. Perhaps we can create another town hall gathering a few months from now.
