I would like to share my appreciation and gratitude to several very important businesses. First and foremost, thanks to Rebuilding Together for bringing the entire project together and saving my home and my life as we know it. To so many contributors, some financial and many from the love in their hearts, much time was donated to see this restoration completed. To Sears Heroes at Home, thanks for the huge financial grant they donated as this project would not have been possible without this; Evergreen Septic, thank you so much; Beach View Windows, thanks a lot and the paint crew from the Rotary Club, thanks tremenously. There are so many individuals I need to thank I don’t know where to begin so I will just say thank you to all for your hard work and the countless hours of labor. These are the people who are not businesses but still built my porch, layed a beautiful floor in the bathroom, scraped and painted the hourse and so very much more. Special thanks also to my neighbor and friend who did the plumbing. These are angels and blessings. So thank you again with all my heart.

To all the wonderful volunteers who helped at Pack2School, simply put the volunteers are what make Pack2School work. This event just would not be if it were not for the wonderful people who give of their time and talents so willingly, each and every one of you bring a wonderful, true commitment, talent and love. Each one perofrms their job with such grace and smiling all the time. No one could ask for anymore and we thank you. There were 141 volunteers involved and they passed out to 468 children full backpacks of school supplies.

Also we cannot forget to thank everyone in the businesses that helped us to tremendously. The list includes Jack’s Country Store, Bank of the Pacific, Okie’s Thriftway, Eagles Auxiliary, Ocean Park Fire Department, WellSpring, CCAP, Family Health Center, and the clowns and face painters. Again this event is for the children and is put on by the community at Peninsula Baptist Church, who sponsors a carnival and luncheon.

There were several agencies in attendance so parents could see what is available on the Peninsula. They included, Timberland Library, Ocean Beach Preschool Program, Food4Kids Backpack program, the Pacific County Health Department, Boys and Girls Club of the Long Beach Peninsula.

It was our total pleasure to put this event on. What a great, warm, kind community we live in. We truly value our children.
