OYSTERVILLE — Two music duos, “Tanz” and “Sea Strings,” will take the stage at the historic Oysterville Church Sunday, Aug. 26. The four musicians are familiar to Peninsula audiences in other configurations, especially as the popular cowboy music group, “Double Jay and the Boys.”
Judy Eron and Charlie Watkins are “Tanz,” which means dance in German. Their music centers around passionate tangos and waltzes with Judy playing oboe and Charlie on the accordion. Janet and Bill Clark are “Sea Strings” and their music ranges from lively Irish tunes to sweet Italian melodies with Janet on fiddle and mandolin and Bill playing tenor guitar.
Pastor Greg Ikehara-Martin, new minister of the Ocean Beach Presbyterian Church in Seaview, will officiate at the hour-long service with Suzanne Knutzen playing the old-fashioned pump organ and Oysterville resident Tucker Wachsmuth giving the traditional Oysterville Moment. The service begins at 3 p.m.
