Ocean Park’s Community Tree Lighting last weekend was well attended. While 20 or so usually attended in the past, this year’s estimate was 65 to 100. Everyone joined in singing carols and “we sounded pretty darn good,” an organizer said. Having it on Roy Sheldon Field across from the school encouraged more people to come.

Even before the tree was illuminated, the moonlit sky over Ocean Park made for a festive setting.
