OCEAN PARK — The I Am Family children’s choir from Uganda, Africa will perform for Naselle Youth Camp on Saturday, Oct. 28, and will spend the weekend on the Peninsula to perform their “youthful, culturally beautiful concert” on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. at Ocean Park Community Church located at 268th & Vernon Avenue.

“The I Am Family Choir brings a colorful, vibrant performance rich with African culture and tradition,” according to a press release from the church. “This performance is more than just entertainment; some of these children have been orphaned by AIDS and civil wars in Uganda will be sharing a message of love and hope in an effort to create awareness and mobilize support for many more African children. The children were chosen for their enthusiasm, ability and dedication, all of which makes them potential leaders when they return to their communities. They are eager to perform for you, and help to raise awareness of the on-going need to provide help and support for needy children and families in East Africa.”

There will be a free-will offering for the ongoing education of these and other kids in Uganda. If you have questions, call Ocean Park Community Church at 360-665-4548.
