Volunteers resume Food4Kids work

The Long Beach Food4Kids Program has resumed with the start of school. This local group provides more than 100 backpack filled with food weekly for weekend consumption by local children in need. The weekly food costs are more than $500 and are funded entirely through donations from our community. Pictured are part of the volunteer team that meets at the Long Beach Elks Lodge every Thursday morning to fill and distribute backpacks: Toddy McCallum, Natalie Hanson, Allison Dornes, Ada Clayton, Jen Bush (presenting a check from the Ocean Beach Presbytarian Church Deacons), Ellie Rosaire and Skylar Kendall. Donations may be made to the Food4Kids program c/o Long Beach Elks Lodge, P.O. Box 370, Long Beach, WA 98631.
