NOTICE OF APPLICATION SEPA DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE Case No (s) P1700618 Description of Proposal: The applicant is proposing to excavate petroleum contaminated soil located within a Category I wetland buffer. The applicant is proposing to excavate and dispose of approximately 7,000 tons of petroleum contaminated soil. The excavated areas on the property will be filled, compacted, and graded to match existing grades with clean borrow material. Soil samples will be taken during the excavation to confirm that all contaminated material is removed. The property will be left vacant and no development is proposed on the site. The applicant will be must be granted a Variance to Pacific County Critical Areas Ordinance 147 prior to any excavation work. Proponent(s): Russell Luiten, on behalf of 5739 Highway 101 LLC. Location of Proposal: The property is located at 5739 State Route 101 South Bend, Washington. The County Assessor’s Parcel number includes 12101544000; located in Section 15, Township 12 North, Range 10 West of W.M. Lead Agency: Pacific County Department of Community Development. The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request. Any person desiring to express his or her views or to be notified of the action taken on this application should notify Alexandra Russell, Planner, Pacific County Department of Community Development, 7013 Sandridge Rd Long Beach, WA 98631.
