NOTICE OF APPLICATION SEPA DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE Case No (s) DPW180004SB Description of Proposal: Pacific County Department of Public Works proposes to replace two (2) existing concrete pipes. The existing concrete pipes were placed many years ago and the pipes are beginning to separate. The pipes are at a length that creates a roadside hazard to the traveling public. The pipe located at MP 0.14 is insufficient for 100 year flood and both culverts have been repeatedly plugged by beaver activity and have damaged ends from the work. The work will be completed by the Pacific County Road Maintenance Crew or a licensed and bonded contractor. The work at MP 0.13 will include; removal of the existing 24” x 35’ concrete pipe and placement of a 24” wide by 60 foot (60’) long HDPE Dual Wall Pipe in the non-fish bearing stream. The work at MP 0.14 will include; removal of the existing 24” x 35’ concrete pipe and placement of a 60” wide by 70 foot (70’) long aluminized culvert. Permanent erosion control measures will include restoration of any grass areas and vegetated surfaces where needed. The Pacific County DPW will monitor disturbed areas following this work and implement any necessary actions to repair erosion or minimize sedimentation. Proponent(s): Pacific County Department of Public Works (DPW) Location of Proposal: The proposed replacement location is located on Dixon Rd No. 59600 at MP 0.13 and MP 0.14 in Section 25 & 36, Township 15 North, Range 9 West of W.M. Lead Agency: Pacific County Department of Community Development. The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request. Any person desiring to express his or her views or to be notified of the action taken on this application should notify Alexandra Russell Planner, Pacific County Department of Community Development, 7013 Sandridge Rd Long Beach, WA 98631.
