WINLOCK — The Winlock Cardinals scored nine runs in the third inning to beat Naselle 12-2 on Apr. 11.

Tyler Cook struck out six in four innings and combined with Brady Steveson to no-hit the Comets in the five-inning game.

After the Cardinals scored in the first on three Comet errors, Cole Dorman walked and scored in the second to tie it at one. To start the third, the Cardinals loaded the bases with no outs on two sharp singles and an error. Winlock followed with a bunt single, had a batter reach on an error, and another bunt single as the game quickly got away from the Comets.

By the time the inning was over, the Cardinals led 10-1.
