CATHLAMET - The Arcato String Quartet plays at Cathlamet's Pioneer Church on Saturday, July 12 at 7 p.m. A collection of pop music will be brought to the stage of the historic church located at the corner of Main and Columbia in Cathlamet. The quartet is Leianne Duke on first violin, Carol Cole on second violin, with Marilyn Pierik playing viola and David Keyes on cello. Music for the evening includes a medley from My Fair Lady, compositions of Scott Joplin, and classical pieces of Mozart and Pachelbel.

The concert is the third in the series of the Pioneer Community Association's summer medley. Tickets for the performance are $12.50, adults, and $8 for youth. Call 360-849-4328; or write PCA, P.O. Box 24, Cathlamet, WA 98612. Remaining seating can be purchased the night of the performance.

The Oregon ferry from Westport is available for the Oregon audience and leaves Westport on the quarter hour. A 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., ferry returns from Puget Island to the Oregon shore.
