OYSTERVILLE - On July 31 local author, Perry P. Perkins, will be autographing copies of his critically acclaimed first novel, "Just Past Oysterville: Shoalwater Book One."

The signing event will be hosted by Oysterville Sea Farms at First and Clark Streets in historic Oysterville. Perkins will be signing books from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Perkins was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and majored in theatre at Clackamas College. Perry received his Foursquare ministry license from LIFE Bible College in 1995, pastored at Sunnyside Foursquare Church, and is currently the publicist for Oregon Christian Writers.

Perkins and his wife Victoria live in the Willamette Valley where he is hard at work on the second novel in the trilogy: "Shoalwater Voices."
