A perfectly symmetrical Christmas tree decorated with royal blue colored balls adorned the entrance as guests attending the Water Music Society's Christmas Concert Sunday filed in to the appropriately festive Inn at the Harbour in Ilwaco. Grammy Award-winning professional performers Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel played guitar, woodwinds and pipes in carefully blended instrumental selections, injecting humor and charm into their introductions. Their pieces featured novel arrangements of traditional Christmas and American Songbook favorites, plus many of their own compositions, which are often inspired by the scenery of the Pacific Northwest. Diane Marshall, Water Music Festival chairman and board vice-president, was delighted to greet the audience of about 150 which filled the concert hall at the inn, which is a former Presbyterian church. Concertgoers sipped on champagne and other holiday beverages, and feasted on sweet and savory treats made by Water Music Society board members. On Monday, Tingstad and Rumbel gave a concert for residents at Golden Sands.
