OCEAN PARK - Bob Worrall of Burlington, Ontario and John Scullion of Carluke, Scotland, will headline the sixth annual concert of bagpipe and Scottish drumming musicians on Thursday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m., at Ocean Park Retreat Center (Methodist camp) on the west side of Vernon Avenue, one mile north of the Ocean Park traffic light.

The concert is part of the weeklong Highland Musical Arts Summer School of Piping and Drumming, which draws students from throughout North America. The community is invited to attend the concert. Admission price is $10 for adults, with seniors 65 and older and youth under age 18 admitted for $8. Tickets are available only at the door.

Also featured will be performances by the school's internationally-acclaimed staff of pipers and drummers. This will include Chris Gibb, Glasgow, Scotland; Ann Gray, Calgary, Alberta; Ryan MacDonald, Victoria, British Columbia; Neil Macpherson, Coquitlam, British Columbia; Matthew Stewart, Edmonton, Alberta; Jacquie Troy, Victoria, British Columbia and James P. Troy, Victoria, British Columbia.

Selected students from the school will also be showcased at the concert, which will include solo and ensemble performances on the traditional pipe band instruments (great Highland bagpipe, snare drum and tenor and bass drums). In addition, the audience will hear Scottish and other Celtic music on alternative styles of bagpipe, whistles and percussion instruments.
