SOUTH BEND - The Pacific County Historical Society will hold its first benefit auction Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Willapa Harbor (formerly South Bend) Community Center.

Social hour starts at 6 p.m., and the auction will follow at 7 p.m. Admission is $10, and comes with a complimentary beverage. Hors d'oeuvres will be served during the silent auction. A live auction will follow. Tickets are available at the Pacific County Museum in South Bend.

The live auction will feature auctioneer Dewey Adair, and a large selection of donated auction items. Examples of items to be auctioned include a stained glass window, camping set, DVD player, personalized belt, and local artwork. A complete list of auction items will be posted on the Society's Web site, www.pacificcohistory.org, as they arrive.

Auction proceeds will support historical society programs, including the design of a new museum building. Donations for the auction are appreciated. In North County contact the museum at (360) 875-5224. In South County contact auction chairman Jerry Porter at (360) 642-7178.
