OYSTERVILLE - For the second straight year, the little town of Oysterville transported Territory Road back in time by about a hundred years. The celebration, which will take place every other year starting in 2007, allows visitors to observe and interact with people and displays of life in the town from the turn of the century, including wood and metal working, cheesemaking and rug hooking. The back yard of the Oysterville Schoolhouse was put into use for kids games, and down the road a string band played tunes for people dance to. Horse-drawn carriage rides took visitors on a tour of the town. The day proved to be a great opportunity to get away to a "simpler" time.
