Eric Wiegardt paintings win major awards

GEORGIA - Nationally known local artist Eric Wiegardt has recently won the Strother's Printing Award with his painting "White Face" at the Georgia Watercolor Society 27th National Exhibition in Dawsonville, Ga.

His painting "Ilwaco Backyards" was accepted in the Rocky Mountain National Exhibition where it was chosen for a show of 78 paintings out of 778 entries. The show is scheduled for Sept. 9 to Nov. 5 in Golden, Colo.

Eric's painting "Foss Tugs at Rainier" has been accepted in the San Diego Watercolor Society 26th International Exhibition, and his painting "Madeira" was selected for the 86th Annual National Watercolor Society International Exhibition Oct. 22 to Dec. 16 in San Pedro, Calif. Eric will jury a show for the Watercolor Society of Oregon Show and also the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild this summer.
