Health Tip of the Week: Vaccine side effects

Side effects from vaccines are usually mild and need no treatment. The most common side effects are soreness at the site of the injection in the upper arm, headache, muscle aches and fever. Infants and children may be irritable for a day or two after they receive vaccines. These problems are very minor compared to the life-threatening diseases that the vaccines prevent.
