ILWACO -Â Come on down to the Port of Ilwaco this Thursday, July 9 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Part of the proceeds from this event will go to help sponsor the South Pacific County Humane Society. This fine organization has been a safe haven for abused and unwanted pets on the Peninsula for over 12 years. There will be whimsical art by Don Nisbett, fabulous new abstracts by Marie Powell, new photographs by Bruce Peterson, mixed media by Mike Moe, watercolors by Eric Weigardt, oils by Betsey Nelson, hand-made cranberry vine baskets by Janet Herring, paintings by Marlene Kent, music at the Raven and Finch and all the restaurants will be open for dinner. Stroll the waterfront, have dinner, enjoy some art, refreshments, music and, of course, a free raffle that's loaded with terrific gifts from all our fine port merchants. That's Thursday, July 9 at the picturesque Port of Ilwaco.
