LONG BEACH — Northwest Artist Guild will be celebrating the summer with an art show and opening evening reception on Friday, June 9, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Picture Attic in Long Beach. There will be music by Fred Carter and nibble furnished by the members. The Picture Attic is located at 711 Pacific Highway North in Long Beach, at the SW corner of North 8th Street.

There are new guild members with different pieces to add to the mixture of mediums and the energy of their art.

Mary Timm will be participating with her whimsical and colorful acrylic paintings. She has a master’s attention to detail and is very creative with her use of color.

Joyce Wingett, also a new member will be showing her large oil paintings and also have some prints available.

In addition to to the newer members there will be new works by Wes Moehnke, Cindy Keyes, Annie Unwin, Jean Nitzel, Linda Marsh and others.

The guild is always interested in including new members and welcomes interested artists to pick up an application at The Picture Attic.

The guild is entering its sixth year in existence and is still growing and excited about making their art available to everyone. Their art is shown at the Picture Attic where the gallery is open five days a week, from Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The shop is closed on Sunday and Monday.
