Elk resorts to eating gorse

A cow Roosevelt elk chows down on the bright blossoms of an invasive gorse bush. Gorse and Scotch broom, a similar invasive, are in full flower around the Columbia River estuary, where they crowd out native species and cause allergy sufferers to sniffle.
