Jan. 18 noon — “Caring for and Troubleshooting Fruit Trees.” Do you want to know what you can do now to help prepare your fruit trees for a healthy growing season in the spring and summer? WSU Master Gardener Alice Slusher will teach you how to manage codling moths, apple maggots, peach leaf curl apple and pear scab, and other problems. Organic options will be discussed, and a management calendar will be provided.

Jan. 25 noon — “Pruning Fruit Trees.” Would you like to know more about pruning your fruit trees? WSU Master Gardener Art Fuller will discuss how to prune your fruit trees — and what not to do!

Jan. 29 10 a.m. — “Caring for, Troubleshooting, and Pruning Fruit Trees.” WSU Master Gardeners Art Fuller and Alice Slusher will teach you in-person what you can do now to help prepare your fruit trees for a healthy growing season in the spring and summer? Would you like to know more about how to prune your fruit trees? The presentation will be followed by a demonstration showing pruning techniques. Enrollment is limited to 30 people. The cost is $10. All attendees must pre-register and pay online at fruit-tree-workshop.cheddarup.com. WSU cannot accept checks or cash at the workshop. The class will be held in Longview.
