Luncheon and bazaar

SEAVIEW - A harvest festival luncheon and bazaar will be held Oct. 25 and 26 at the Peninsula Church Center at 5000 N. Place in Seaview. There will be a clam chowder, salad, pie, and beverage luncheon served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. both days; craft tables; baked goods and candy tables; music; and fun for all. Bazaar hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. This event is sponsored by the Presbyterian Woman's Association Youth Group, Sunday School Lutheran Ladies, and Campfire Girls.

Star of the Sea School

ASTORIA - At St. Mary, Star of the Sea School (K-8) in Astoria, the school year's fund-raising events get underway Saturday, Oct. 28, with the annual Harvest Bazaar, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The local Knights of Columbus will host Bingo games in the gym (with some special prizes), the Parents' Club will serve up a "Bavarian" dinner, and everyone will enjoy kids' games, along with food and crafts booths. Each class has put together a big theme basket filled with goodies and surprize treasures for door prize drawings. Seniors bazaar

KLIPSAN BEACH - Peninsula Senior Activity Center will hold a Christmas bazaar on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be served each day. There will be a raffle drawing on the 26th at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at the Senior Center.

LB Elks bazaar

LONG BEACH - A holiday bazaar will be held Nov. 1 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fee is $25 per table or 8x6 floor space. The fee will be donated for Christmas baskets for the needy. Priority will be given on a first come, first served basis. St. Mary's bazaar

LONG BEACH - St. Mary's will hold their holiday bazaar Nov. 7 through Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Lunch will be served.

Eagles auxiliary

LONG BEACH - The Eagles Auxiliary Christmas Bazaar will be held Nov. 22 and Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information, contact Ingrid Smith at 665-6445.

Feed the Hungry

LONG BEACH - Crafters are needed for the second annual Help Feed the Hungry Holiday Bazaar to benefit the Peninsula F.I.S.H. Food Band in Ilwaco. The event will be held Nov. 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Edgewater Inn. Tables are $20 if supplied, or $15 if you bring your own. For more information call 484-3945.

Bake and craft sale

PACIFIC COUNTY - The South Pacific County Humane Society will once again hold its Bake, Book, Video and Craft Sale on Dec. 6 and 7. We are asking that all you "crafty" people out there make one or two extra items to donate to us our sale. We are also asking for video's, cd's and books in good condition. We must make some exceptions on the books. Please no encyclopedia's, Readers Digest Condensed, Harlequin-type romance or musty ones. The best sellers would be current novels, westerns, how to and cookbooks. For more information contact the shelter at 642-1180.

Starving artist holiday art faire

ASTORIA - The seventh annual Starving Artist Holiday Art Faire is now taking reservations from artists and crafts persons. Holiday Open House

SKAMOKAWA - The Friends of Skamokawa at Redmen Hall are pleased to announce that they are having their Annual Holiday Open House on Dec. 7 and Dec 8. (Redmen Hall is located on the Ocean Beach Highway - look for the River Life Interpretive Center sign.)
