Raymond, the bustling heart of Pacific County, was founded in 1907 but was a thriving commercial and logging center for years before that. Downtown Raymond has been extensively remodeled if you havent been there in awhile, be sure to check it out, along with the old Raymond Theater!
A beautiful river-side path connects with a walking-cycling trail that follows an old railroad right-of-way through incredible scenery all the way through the Willapa Hills. The Port of Willapa is an important industrial resource for the county.
Fishing and hunting opportunities abound in nearby rivers and hills.
Life-size metal silhouettes and 3-D statues are the latest addition to Raymonds traditional larger-than-life wooden statues that have long been attracting visitors.
All in all, Raymond is one of the most appealing and undiscovered towns in southwest Washington.
