ILWACO - The Wade Gallery announced it will feature the works of internationally known artist Paul Brent at this summer's first Harbour Village Art Walk on the waterfront at the Port of Ilwaco July 13, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Brent will appear in person at the gallery and will be featuring his original oil paintings and watercolors of the coastal area here in Washington and Oregon.
Brent and his wife Lana Jane split their time between their summer residence in Seaside, Ore., and Panama City, Fla. where they own and operate a gallery he designed, located in the historic downtown area.
Brent's paintings of coastal life and nature have gained widespread recognition. His passion for creativity has led to an expression both in fine art as well as producing designs for functional and decorative objects. Regarded as one of today's foremost coastal artists, he is intensely aware of his surroundings and his artwork reflects his wonder and admiration for scenes and objects of natural beauty.
Brent is an affiliate artist with the LeMoyne Institute in Tallahassee. His original work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the U.S. He is a signature member of the National, Southern and Florida Watercolor Societies. After publication of the book "J. Rooker Manatee," he was invited to join the Society of Illustrators in New York where a one-man show of his work was held.
