The Witness choir, directed by Michelle Steiner, and dancers, directed by Teresa Goodwin, performed at the Peninsula Senior Center for an AARP meeting March 1. Lunch was served after the performance. The group performed to a full house, and local AARP president Denise Fernandez presented them with a $155 donation toward their expenses. The kindergarten through high school-aged choir consists of 31 singers, including seven dancers. Uniforms consist of blue and white T-shirts.

The concert included inspirational renditions of contemporary religious songs. Most of the members performed solos, and they sang with taped accompaniment, piano, and a capella.

The 2-year-old choir is funded partly by donations. To schedule a concert or join the choir, call Michelle Steiner at (503) 325-4350. To make a contribution, call Ann Wiegardt at 665-6056.
