Slideshow: Nuthin’ little about this rodeo

<p>Contestants in the jr. boys steer riding competition at last year's junior rodeo take a look at their potential rides prior to their event.</p>

This weekend, local junior rodeo athletes got to strut their stuff in front of a home crowd at the first ever Surf ‘N Saddles Jr. Rodeo in Long Beach. The Northwest Junior Rodeo Association (NJRA) sanctioned event attracted cowboys and cowgirls, all 18 or younger, from around Washington and Oregon who competed for points and a birth in finals, which will be held in Elma in September.
