Humpback whales and orcas both hunt inside the vast Columbia River estuary south of Pacific County, Washington. It is one of the rare places on earth where it's possible to view whales from the roadside — in this case U.S. Highway 101 at the old fishing village of McGowan, just east of the Chinook tunnel and west of the Astoria-Megler Bridge. This video of basking humpbacks was shot in August 2016.
