PACIFIC COUNTY - The Pacific County chapter of the ABATE club is sponsoring their annual "Care Bear" stuffed toy drive the week of Nov. 9 through Nov. 15, culminating with a spaghetti feed at the South Bend Eagles hall on Nov. 16 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The cost for the spaghetti feed is just $5 per person. All stuffed animals and cash donations received during this drive will go to Pacific County police departments and hospitals who distribute them to children who are victims of traffic accidents, domestic violence, and similar. Donation sites are at Chesters Tavern in South Bend, Hunters Inn in Naselle, The FishTrap in Chinook and Leather Unlimited in Long Beach.
