LONG BEACH — Members of the Pacific County ABATE club recently presented the ReachOut Thrift Store with a donation of $714, which was raised during their annual charity pig out and poker run held April 23. This is a fun event with a good number of participants who make this generous donation possible. Pictured above are Lenny Pletsch of ABATE, Pat Smith, manager of the thrift store, and Geno Lewis and Shannon Tetz both of ABATE. ABATE stands for A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments and was founded to advocate for freedom of choice regarding wearing motorcycle helmets.
