ASTORIA - The Astoria Air Fair and Coast Guard Open House will be held on Sept. 25, starting with a pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The morning events include radio-controlled aircraft demonstrations, a Stearman flight demonstration, a Cessna/Piper/Grumman formation flight, Columbia River Bar Pilots, a Blackjack Squadron formation flight and a powered parachute demonstration.

Events starting at noon include the presentation of colors, the National Anthem to be sung by vocalist Suzanne Leonard, honored guest Ed Leonard, and a performance by the Jelly Bean Choir will perform. Additional presentations will include Coast Guard demonstrations, Columbia Pacific Airlines Luscombe/Commonwealth Formation Flight, RV-10 Experimental Aircraft Demonstration, Civilian Aircraft Departures and even a flour bombing competition.

There will be a crafters bazaar, plus food and fun all day, including flights available for children 8- to 17-years-old through the EAA Young Eagles. The event concludes with a dance from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., with music by the band "Los Comotosos."
