PORTLAND - Alice Elizabeth (Sally) Crowder, 90, died March 23, 2005, in Portland, Ore. She was born May 31, 1914, in Centralia.

She was raised and educated in Centralia. She married Clifford C. Crowder in 1930, when she was 15-years-old. The couple lived in Portland for 43 years, prior to moving to Ocean Park. She returned to live in Portland in 2004.

She was active in the Salvation Army, a member of the Long Beach Elks Steppers, the Ocean Park Eagles Lodge, and loved to fish for salmon. When she lived in Portland, she volunteered at the Portland Veterans' Hospital.

Survivors include her sons, Donald Crowder of Seaside and Sherman Crowder of Indio, Calif.; a sister, Lenora Huston of Portland; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in 1984.

Riverview Abbey Funeral Home of Portland, was in charge of arrangements. Remembrances are suggested to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children.
