ILWACO — Peninsula Rotary is presenting their 6th Annual Oysters & Art Fundraiser on April 2, at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco. Oysters & Art is the local Rotary Club’s key fundraiser for the year, a benefit for youth programs, including the Boys and Girls Club of the Long Beach Peninsula, the Family Health Center at North Beach children’s dentistry program and the Peninsula Arts Association’s Youth Scholarship Program, along with a small portion allocated to international projects.

In addition to the silent and live auctions, there will be delicacies from our area’s top restaurants, great entertainment, exciting balloon popping and just an all around good time for everyone. Tickets are just $30 and may be purchased from any local Rotarian. Limited tickets may be available at the door.

Rotary is asking the many talented and generous artists in our area for a donation of original artwork for either the oral or the silent auction. Artists will have the opportunity to specify the minimum bid on their item and receive a portion of the final bid amount if requested. Art classes and instruction are also popular auction items.

This is a juried show with each artist limited to no more than three pieces: diversity in the artist’s work is appreciated. Items should be received no later than March 15 at one of the following locations so that they can be included in the catalog.

Drop off locations are: Discovery Coast Real Estate at 1711 Pacific Avenue South in Long Beach; Farmers Insurance at 25902 Vernon Ave., Ste. B in Ocean Park.

For a drop off form, call Cheri Diehl at 244-2660 or Judi Stidham at 642-0837.
