Artists getting set for big show

OCEAN PARK - Artists around the area are putting finishing touches on artworks and entry forms in preparation for the Peninsula Art Association's Sept. 25 show registration deadline.

The 38th Annual Fall Art Show and Sale will be held Oct. 10, 11, 12 and 13, at the World Kite Museum in Long Beach. The show exhibits up to three entries per member and also features an Inspired Creations sales area. PAA membership currently stands at 135 and is comprised of artists working in the diverse mediums of painting, sculpture, clay, photography, printmaking, jewelry, fiber, glass, drawing, metal, pastels and more. The membership includes an adult division as well as youth and high school divisions for students aged six to 18.

Raffle sales and a portion of all art sales benefit the PAA High School Graduate Scholarship Program, which this year was able to present a $1,000 scholarship to metal artist Jeff Jones, an Ilwaco High School graduate.
