SOUTH BEND - A woman accused of theft of cash and other items from a Pacific County office in December pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor, in January, according to Pacific County Prosecutor David Burke.

Tami A. Brenot, 37, of Long Beach, repaid funds taken from the office and was sentenced to community service with a local crisis support agency, Burke said. Brenot was a clerk in the state motor vehicle licensing office which shares space with the county auditor in Long Beach. Taken in the burglary was approximately $4,500 in cash and bank checks, license tabs and trip permits, temporary and permanent license placards and a county seal.
