Bank of the Pacific promotes Wendy Strange

NASELLE - The Board of Directors of Pacific Financial Corp. recently announced the promotion of Wendy Strange to the corporate position of senior vice president. Strange has been with The Bank of the Pacific since 1977.

Strange started her banking career as a teller at the Long Beach branch. In 1979 she was promoted to the operations supervisor of the Naselle Branch. In 1982 she returned to the main office as the internal auditor. She later assumed compliance and IRA responsibilities and administrative assistant duties which included assisting the cashier with The Bank's investment portfolio, call reporting, bank secrecy, branch procedures and computer application support.

Currently, Strange oversees The Bank's deposit operations for 15 branches.

Bank CEO Dennis Long said, "Wendy has a keen eye for detail, which has helped our company successfully accomplish the recent merger with Bank NorthWest." He went on to say, "She played a very important role in bringing together the operating policies and procedures for our consolidated companies."

Pacific Financial Corp. is a bank holding company with total assets of $425 million, operating 10 branches as The Bank of the Pacific in Grays Harbor, Pacific and Wahkiakum counties, and five branches as Bank NorthWest in Whatcom County.
