SEAVIEW - Bonnie Jean Hilbert, 53, died of cancer March 11, 2005, at her Seaview residence surrounded by family. The daughter of Paul and Theresa (Capser) Bruner, she was born in Ilwaco on Sept. 17, 1951. She was raised in Seaview and graduated from Ilwaco High School with the class of 1969.

She resided in Ilwaco until 1986 when she moved to Chehalis. She raised her family and then returned to school to receive her associate degree. In addition she had worked locally at nursing homes and the Sears store in Long Beach. She returned to Seaview in 2004.

Ms. Hilbert was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved building things of all kinds and in younger years enjoyed horses, being a member of the Peninsula Saddle Club of Long Beach. She was a very loving and spiritual person who touched the lives of many and will be missed.

Survivors include her mother Theresa Potter of Seaview; daughters Elizabeth Erickson of Vancouver and Holly Faddis of Chehalis; sons Tom Hilbert of Ilwaco and Andy Hilbert of Alaska; brothers Paul Bruner of Alaska and Jerry Bruner of Seaview; sister Christine Hutchinson of Gresham, Ore.; grandchildren Riane and Megan Erickson, Faith Ann Spicer; and many other members of her extended family. She was preceded in death by her father Paul Bruner in October 2004.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 19, at 2 p.m., at the Oak View Church in Centralia. A private family graveside service will be held at the Ilwaco Cemetery. The family requests memorials in her memory to the American Cancer Society in care of Penttila's Chapel by The Sea, P.O. Box 417, Long Beach, Wash., 98631.
