Chamber awards businesses that helped ‘light up’ Ocean Park

OCEAN PARK — At a recent lunch meeting of the Ocean Park Area Chamber of Commerce, President Sue Madsen happily presented certificates to the winners of the first-ever Business Christmas Decorating Competition. 

First place was taken by Bob and Mary Peterson of Ocean Park Signs, Rich Schisler accepted second place for Okie’s Thriftway, third place went to Kiss of Mist Coffee and honorable mention to Captain’s Coffee of Nahcotta. 

According to Madsen, “As many as 14 businesses in the area participated in the competition, and we look forward to seeing that grow in the future.”

The Ocean Park Area Chamber of Commerce was established to preserve the competitive enterprise system of business and to promote business and community growth and development. Members meet twice per month at the fire hall in Ocean Park.
