wo public hearings are scheduled in order to hear and consider testimony on Ordinance 873: An Interim Ordinance of the City Of Long Beach, Washington Enacting a Moratorium on Cannabis Collective Gardens; Defining "Collective Garden;" Prohibiting Issuance of Licenses or Permits For Collective Gardens; Referring the Matter to the Long Beach Planning Commission; Ordering Transmittal to the Department Of Commerce; Providing for a Public Hearing; Providing for Severability; and Declaring an Emergency and Establishing an Effective Date.

The first hearing is before the Long Beach Planning Commission on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 7:00 pm or soon thereafter. The second hearing is before the Long Beach City Council on August 15, 2011 at 7:00 pm or soon thereafter. Both hearings will take place in the City Council Chambers at Long Beach City Hall, 115 Bolstad Avenue West, Long Beach, WA 98631. This facility is accessible to persons with disabilities.

Either hearing may be continued without further notice if the date, time and place of the continued hearing are announced at either originally-scheduled hearing. Interested persons may appear and be heard. It is the right of any person to comment on the proposed amendments, receive notice of and participate in any hearing, and request a copy of the decision once made.

The ordinance as proposed is available for review at Long Beach City Hall.
