The U.S. Coast Guard hoisted a man from a fishing vessel near Long Beach, Wash., Monday.

A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew was diverted to the scene seven miles west of Long Beach when Sector Columbia River received a report that a crewmember aboard the fishing vessel Dorby S was suffering from seizures.

A 47-foot motor lifeboat crew from Station Cape Disappointment in Ilwaco, Wash., was dispatched to the vessel where it pulled alongside the Dorby S. Two Coast Guard personnel assessed the man's condition before placing him on a stretcher. He was then hoisted into the hovering helicopter and flown to waiting medical personnel at Sector Columbia River.
