Cyd Kertson honored by visitor’s bureau

Cyd Kertson

SEAAVIEW — The Long Beach Peninsula Visitors Bureau recently recognized Cyd Kertson as Volunteer of the Month.

Kertson grew up on the Peninsula, graduated from Ilwaco High School and worked several years at the Bank of the Pacific. She then moved to Vancouver in 1981 to “experience life in the big city.”

After spending 35 years working as an accountant in Vancouver, Kertson decided to retire and move back to the Peninsula.

She enjoys walking, reading and photographing nature. “Kertson has an excellent sense of humor and,” according to the volunteer coordinator, “fits in wonderfully with our group of volunteers. Thanks for joining our team, Cyd!”

The Long Beach Peninsula is always looking for friendly people to join its team of Ambassadors. If you are interested, contact or call us at (360) 642-2400
