NOTICE BY THE PACIFIC COUNTY AUDITOR OF A GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2015 AND CANVASSING MEETINGS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that all voter registration files for all the voting precincts in Pacific County, Washington will be closed to all original registrations (mail, online voter registration) and transfers as of midnight Monday, October 5th, 2015 and will remain closed until after the General Election held on November 3rd, 2015. WITH THE EXCEPTION that residents in the State of Washington who are not registered, may register in person, in the Auditor's Office in South Bend or Long Beach, October 26th, 2015. Every registered voter in Pacific County, Washington State will receive his or her ballot by mail for the November 3rd, 2015 General Election. The ballots will be mailed out on October 15th, 2015. Registered voters may mail or deposit their ballot at the Auditor’s office (South Bend or Long Beach) up to and including the day of the Election. There will also be three drive up drop boxes located at; County Court House parking lot (300 Memorial Dr., South Bend), Long Beach Licensing office parking lot (7013 Sandridge Road, Long Beach) and at the Department of Transportation building in Naselle (795 SR 4, Naselle). All Drop Boxes will close at 8 pm on Election Day, November 3rd, 2015. The Auditor’s offices will be open on November 3rd, 2015, Election Day only, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM to receive vote by mail ballots. You may obtain a replacement ballot if the original ballot is destroyed, spoiled or lost; call (360) 875-9317. Replacement ballots may be requested in person at the Auditor’s office. CANVASSING BOARD NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Pacific County Canvassing Board, or its duly authorized representatives, will convene October 23rd, 27th, 30th and November 3rd at 10:00 AM for the purpose of canvassing vote by mail ballots cast for the November 3rd, 2015 General Election. These meetings will be held in the Courthouse Pacific County Election Meeting Room, 300 Memorial Ave., South Bend, Washington 98586. No votes shall be tabulated before the close of the polls at 8:00 PM on Election Day. The canvassing board, or its duly authorized representatives, will meet again on November 6th and 10th if necessary, until all valid vote by mail ballots are opened and inspected, whichever comes first. Each day the meetings will convene at 10:00 AM and end when the opening and canvassing are completed for that day. The Pacific County Canvassing Board (Auditor, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners and the Prosecuting Attorney) shall meet in the Courthouse Pacific County Election Meeting Room at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 to certify the election.
