Ilwaco celebrates Community Day of Thanks

ILWACO — For the ninth year in a row, the Community Day of Thanks event was held on Thanksgiving Day at the Inn at Harbour Village in Ilwaco. Coordinated by Russell Maize more than 80 volunteers helped with the event. They served dinner to more than 400 people and were still able to donate food for an additional 100 meals to the Coastal Community Action Program. All of the food was cooked completely from scratch and was on the tables starting at 11 a.m. and continuing virtually non-stop until around 4 p.m. Cash donations will be given to the local food banks.
