Peninsula Moose Lodge shines with district

Dave Jonason was recognized as administrator of the year by Selection Committee representative Lota Ross.

OCEAN PARK — The Peninsula Moose Lodge, one of 37 lodges in the Washington/Northern Idaho District, was recognized with the award for Administrator of the Year for David Jonason. Jonason was also chosen as Moose of the Year.

The Moose selection committee reviews criteria — such as on-time financial statements, major lodge accomplishments, innovative thinking, point of sale, meeting member goals and overall lodge demeanor — in determining their selection.

Jonason was born in Tacoma. He joined the U.S. Coast Guard, served and retired as a senior chief (grade E-8) after having been stationed in Wesport, Tillamook, Hawaii and Ilwaco as an instructor at the National Marine Motor Lifeboat School. In 1999 he met and soon after married his wife Niki. They live in Ocean Park.

Congratulations to Dave Jonason and the Peninsula Moose Lodge for all their outstanding accomplishments!
