Saturdays are all right for learning science

In this year’s eight-week Saturday Science Academy, students are studying water. In the first session of the 2019 Academy held on Feb. 2, students experimented with some of the properties of H2O. They will look at the water cycle, weather systems, water mapping, marine versus fresh water life, water engineering, drinking water and challenges and careers. Thanks to generous donations from the Ocean Beach Education Foundation, local businesses and individuals, academy students are fully funded and the program is equipped. If you are interested in investing in ongoing science programs, contact gwenbrake@gmail.com, edianebuttrell@gmail.com or leerebeccaknot@gmail.com.
