Seattle woman wins North Head raffle

LONG BEACH — On Sept. 19, the Keepers of North Head Lighthouse held the drawing for the prize for the fundraising event for restoration and maintenance of the lighthouse. These raffle tickets go on sale in the spring at several outlets on the Peninsula. The winner receives two nights lodging at the lighthouse keepers residence at North Head for six people as well as a $350 gift certificate at The Depot restaurant. The Depot generously contributes to this raffle prize. Drawing this year's winning ticket was Jim Sherman, the newest board member, and Dennis Winston, the assistant store manager at North Head. The lucky winner was Catherine Mardesich from Seattle. She purchased the ticket at the North Head store.
