CATHLAMET - Con Amici returns Dec. 8 to Cathlamet to play a holiday concert at the town's landmark Pioneer Church beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The group, founded in Astoria in early 2001, performs classical chamber music. Their selections this evening will include Beethoven Opus 16 and Brahms Sonata No. 1. Vocalist Jennifer Johnson sings Schubert's Ave Maria. The group will play a variety of holiday music and some traditional carols. The audience will be invited to sing along.

This evening, local artist Andrew Emien will play cello with the group and will be featured in one particular piece from Brahms Sonata No. 1, Allegro non troppo, written specially for cello and piano. Kristina Birchler is violinist. David Lee Myers plays both viola and violin. Betsey Ellerbroek plays viola. Alexandra Myers will play the grand piano.
