OLYMPIA - The toll-free number that provides access to information about the Department of Ecology's draft shoreline guidelines is not working very well.

Although some people are able to get through on it, others get an error message when they dial the number. DOE is working to fix the problem, but meanwhile alternative number (360) 407-6476 does work.

While it is not a toll-free number, it does work and will ensure that citizens have access to materials about this important topic.

A news release issued recently announcing this new round of rule-making to updated Washington's shoreline guidelines may be found at http://www.ecy.wa.gov /news/2003news/2003-145.html .
